can the owners of this driver who have been listening to it give their opinions about sound quality? how are the mids and top end? easy on ears? how about resolution?
limitation is narrow dispersion above 1khz but i guess i could get acceptable sweet spot when sitting at 5-6ft distance from speakers.

Best used with an adjustable notch filter from 1Khz to 4Khz or so.

Im using mine in my sound system as midtops with no eq added or just a little boost on hi shelf in my mixer (12khz-->). Paper sounds good.

Here is the graphs by ed the profet:

Purple = FANE Sovereign 12-250TC

And the 12-250TC off axis (about 30 degrees):

Didn't apply a lot of smoothing and the room isn't great for measurements but hopefully useful for a comparison. Some pretty big peaks in there bit it does go all the way up as they claim.

Messing about with a graphic taking a load of 6.5k and 10k ish helped tame it a little.
Also noticed definitely very directional, even being a few degrees off makes a difference.

Still better than any other single full range driver I've ever seen!

I have a pair of Fane 12-250TC in a cabinet.
The top end is very clear.
While its a good speaker the bass end lacks a bit.
www.bluearan.co.uk do them for a good price.

Fane 12-250TC remains to be my favorite FRDs playing in OB by tube power with low end assisted by 15” woofers crossed at 100hz driven solid state.

I have quite a collection of FRD and yet to come across any to beat them. The really expensive ones not counted.

Fanes sound louder, sweeter and most musical than any other.

yo dubz, you could also build some scoops to get a true one-way sound! Big smile

something like this, modified for 12" (originally designed for a beyma 8" FR woofer)
