Not guilty, not done Dizzy or beachbreak for a few years, and this year you'll be lucky to catch me at a festival as a house tech, i'm stage managing Orbital all summer so mostly in Europe, only uk festies being Beathearder, Bloc, T in the Park and SGP. Fly in, fly out Big smile

Had the option to do beathearder, but just too busy to fit it in! Would appreciate some pics from there if you can mate? Heard about it from others, sounds mental.

Whatever this tent was called - array of whatever these are. Band playing at this point were god aweful, so cannot say anything about this rig whatsoever....

Leaky sheep, Opus double 18''s and double 10''s... it didn't sound any good all weekend

Ghetto palace had Turbo 718 bins and turbo tops (not sure of model) Painfully loud highs and no bass..

So-Co Juke Joint had the F1 and it sounded OK.

Chai wallahs was amazing this year, did you hear them testing on the Thursday morning? It sounded crystal clear across the whole site!

Special notice to member stray_sounds, was bloody entertaining meeting him and his crew again this year [and this year realising it was him], your drinking antics and general banter kept me going on those nite shifts when i was stuck guarding random sand dunes etc.... Shame i didnt get to hear the rig going on the sunday, but sleep was more appealing at the time!

Ha ha ha we did get just a little bit pissed...! Good to meet you properly! Smile

How much of a fly in, fly out is that? I owe you a drink or three and Beatherder or SGP sound like the ideal places for it!

I'll be at the Beatherder - been to every one since the start. Not doing any sound this year, just DJing in the Trailer Trash big-top.

I'm also taking my 'old school' lighting along. Par cans, scanners, moon-flowers and optikinetics projectors anyone?

If anyone is knocking about - pop in and say hi (James Deane if you're asking). Always nice to meet fellow SP members.

I'll try and get some pics of the rigs if I get 5 mins spare. It's a pretty bonkers festival that has grown a lot since 2006. Non-corporate and very DIY-orientated. Sold out again this year so should be a good one (weather permitting).

Beathearder coming in from Belgrade, rigging Friday overnight, chilling out during the day on Saturday, running home straight after the show (the Mrs is running the race for life on the Sunday, want to be standing on the finish line when she crosses it)

SGP, well almost agreed to house crew it but by a twist of fate avoided it, will be in on the Friday overnight, chill Saturday, gig, and running away before the Coloursound and Immersive crews talk me into an overnight re-rig / mash up....

This Harry, brilliant engineer and excellent chap to chat too, but he does have 'DJ FX syndrome', nasty habbit of overusing the Vi4 FX engines/using a tap delay on dub bands which imo is often unnessesary [kind of thing the band should request, not just added by the engineer]. Niggly things most people dont notice admitedly, im probably being over critical, especially as he is a far superior engineer to me!!
