Hi,

I'm looking for a Power Integrations TOP242PN chip as per below.
The chip is £2 however I'm struggling to find anywhere in the UK that has them in stock with a reasonable postage costs. I'm refusing to pay £16.99 delivery that the following is asking for.

Where can I purchase?

I reckon the Mouser delivery for the chip is £12 if you use Fed Ex.

farnell have the TOP242YN which is the TO220 version, can you bend the legs to fit?

The amplifier that your repairing, it's not a Matrix by any chance ?, the SMPS uses this chip for the bootup ?

Simon, yes it is. Mines having the issue where it cuts out randomly after 5mins. I need to replace the chip to fix.

What I normally do is just add a load of extra stuff into my Mouser basket so that either I get to the free delivery threshold or the delivery charge seems more acceptable spread across multiple items!

So I've tried all my local sources but unable to find any cheaper, It's payday today so I've made a mouser purchase. Just bumped it up to the free delivery threshold.
