So, my friend and I are looking for an amp to power 2 subwoofers plus 2 midtop speakers and at frist glance it seems like the Behringer NX6000D could be a good option and we can get a discount on it. We were planning on using the crossover so one output powers the two subs in parallel and another one the midtops, also in parallel. Obviously it would have to be mono but we don't really care about that. The thing is, I downloaded the manual (quick start guide) before purchasing it and it doesn't really mention that we can do that, since it seems that the crossover is just for the input and not for the outputs. So my question would be, can we use this Amp to input a Stereo signal, and output 2 mono signals, one from 20-200Hz and other from 200-20k hz? Thanks in advance!

According to the manual, the crossover (set at the back of the amp) works for both channel. so it won't allow setting the hpf on one channel and lpf on the other (quite stupid imho) Also the Xover frequency is not able to be set, which greatly reduces it interest. The NX6000D has a DSP, but I found very little info on the specs of the DSP, so I can't say for sure if there are xover capabilities per channel.
Maybe someone with a NX DSP amp can chime in, or someone with a link of full spec / doc of the amp's DSP. Edited by JBK - 23 April 2024 at 3:18pm |
