I'm a Linux dude for work (for decades), and I still need machine running Ms Windows for Teams, Citrix, MS Office, Zoom, Adobe Reader.

VirtualBox/VMware running Win 11 Vms, are unreliable, compared to Win 11 on bare metal, and the above software/equivalents are also crap on Linux.

Using Zoom/Teams, with web cam, in VMs, is hopeless, regardless of horsepower. In fact Many Workplace Citrix servers, refuse connections, from Citrix clients running on Linux,

Libreoffice seems great, until you send document to MS Office users, then they tell you, your document layout and fonts, look like child's scrawl, with crayons.

Linux for Dev, File servers, streaming, websites, super computers, embedded devices, Mac/Windows for office users.

Same here. Both times all my Outlook userid data needed to be re-entered - annoying but not a show stopper.
For sidefills, can we have two enormous things of a type that might be venerated as Gods by the inhabitants of Easter Island, capable of reaching volumes that would make Beelzebub soil his pants.

Is it worth the risk?

Windows has more black hats attacking it, than any other OS.

To upgrade to H/W, that can "legitimately" run W11, can be very cheap.

Getting so tried of unwanted Ai forced down our throats from Microslop, I'm actually considering downgrading to Win 10. Have tried the now famous script for disabling AI apps in W11, but know MS will soon bake in workarounds.

I only use Windoze for Office 365/Teams, Citrix, so no biggie for me.

Linux is my main home machne.

I also have Hackintosh partition on my Windows machine, and that is running Mac OS Sonoma/Office 365/Teams, lovely.
