Dom you built the Limmer042 with the porn 12", haven´t you .
how´s the sound comp´´ed to the porn or the stasys 3 series 2 what do think if one built the 12" alone an the limmer on it´s own? |

Shouldn't make any difference to the sound if you built the 12" and 042 in separate boxes.

or perhaps modified mt121 (what ill be building pase plugged 6.5 and 12" section both or just the 6" plugged not sure yet still in very early stages working with what studio 45's got as a basis) thinking perhaps 1" or a convex melded pezio array (which is what ill be testing soonish as its got a minimal outlay to test it)

To be honest the 12" alone isn't doing anything too special as it's only playing 140hz-600hz. You could probably get very similar results with an MT121.
The limmer 042 does a really good job of 600hz though... Before I went down the limmer route I did try the mk1 porn horn top and an unreleased porn horn 6.5". I preferred the limmer to be honest...
As for comparison with a stasys 3 mk 2 - they are a completely different beast. The limmer has a much wider dispersion and is really designed for one box per side. The stasys 3's are very good sounding boxes...

The limmer porn boxes sound really good.
Not sure what you mean by come close to the big boys. They do a different job. They sound good but are really only suitable for small rooms due to the wide dispersion.
