Compatible remotes?

   Right, I have a Zoom Powerfog smoke machine which uses a timer remote which connects via an IEC kettle lead, trouble is the remote no longer works and apparently Zoom have gone bankrupt so no spares available. After a bit of googling, I have found chauvet timer remotes which look similiar but with a different facsia and also connect via the same way. What are the chances they'll be compatible with my smoke machine?
