I have found a 18 single bass cab from B&C speakers...

Is it ok for PD 186 drivers in a mid Bass (90Hz to 240 Hz) configuration ?

Thanks

that cab makes a good sub. would be a shame to only run it from 90 up.

The PD186 is not a mid-bass driver.  In fact it would be more commonly used going up to 90Hz rather than starting at that frequency.  It will have too heavy a cone and be far to slow to run up to 240Hz.

You need either a very light coned 18" or you'd be better off with a 15".

Thanks for your replies,

Yes I know that PD 186 is very good for subs but i change my sub drivers from PD 186 to PD 1850..
so i was wondering if PD 186 could be used in mid tops section, if yes with what kind of plan ?
Thanks for your help.

The PD186 is a sub driver. Sell them and get something suited to the job. simples.

*Edit....infact you should have kept the PD186 on sub, nicer sounding IMO. then spent your monies on getting the correct drivers for a kick/bass section.

Different people have different ideas about about mid bass J...

But, aye, PD186 is not all that above 150hz, as a mate is finding out..

Which PD driver is copy of the Fane 18B, is it the PD188?

Eye that's fair enough Lev, I appreciate  people have different views. Just putting my opinions across. In the kick section I like the driver to be fast and accurate Thumbs Up

yup the PD188 is good for this use, possibly closest to the fane 18b.  I nearly went for these but got the RCF L18S801 instead and have been well impressed with them since.
