finally managed to get a picture up, thanks to tb_mike kindly hosting it.
what you see, as you all know, is 4xHD15s, 2x12" Porn Horn mids, 2x1.5" PornHorn tops. The bass bins are loaded with paudio bm-15lf, which we've found to really do a nice job - loud, clean, and just a tad deeper than the c15-500lf Mids are paudio sn-12b's, again very pleased with these. the porn horns have been great, quite a noticable improvement over normal mt122 horns IMO. Tops are paudio bmd-740s, nice and loud and very clear. need to sort ourselves out with a nice LSM so we can tweak everything, the compression drivers are a little too loud around 2-3khz, for now we just cross them over a good bit higher than the mid's cutoff, to reduce overall SPL in that band. we're currently using void infinite 4's for the bass (2 hd15s on each) and caudio4001's for mid and top (until we get our chevins ;D ) cabling is all van damm 4mm2. the crossover is sh*t. suffering a little with a plain old behringer cx3400, but things will change soon..... cabinets are all 18mm birch, crafty with my own dainty hands. unfortunately i hadn't discovered the marvels of tongue-and-groove joinery before making this lot, but it'll be present on all future work. as yet unpainted, obviously, but will be finished next week with a couple of coats of the quattro stuff that 'spaceman' told us about anyway, enjoy:
and yes, it does currently live in my bedroom 8) |

Just wondering how you got a fork-lift into your room to lift the pallet?

Noice, very noice. Looks very promising. PAP must just still measure
out the horn and if I know the polar behaviour of the horn, I'll get
underway. Might perhaps use a wider dispersion setup for first (by
crossing lower to an Oberton D3672 + 18-sound XT1464) if the ripple is
acceptable in a single before I commit to full-on long-throw horny
madness.

Thats a nice little setup. I've noticed many soundsytems tend to have palets under their speakers. Whats the reason in doing so?

keeps the speakers away from a beer soaked floor, also means that you
can put a strap round the stack after you have stacked up all the box's.
