Hi forum.
I own a handful of these speaker units and tried mounting them in a proel wd12x cabinet with the result of a bass droppoff at around 85-90 hz in front of the speaker. I’m guessing the enclosure is a tad bit too small since the bc speaker unit is a bit larger than the proel. Can anybody verify this theory and does anybody know of a nice wedge design for this unit?

Any driver with a low Qts value, such as the 0.19 of this speaker, will naturally start rolling off well above Fs, and typically want tuned higher than Fs if you want to avoid having a stepped down response.
Here's what that looks like when modelled in a couple of box sizes & tunings: ![]() You can EQ some of the stepped down part of the response back in, but be aware that this uses up headroom and increases the average power the driver is having to dissipate. Depending on what program material you're reinforcing, it may be better just to accept it and high-pass the wedge sends at around 90-100Hz anyway. Especially for live music, running the monitors more full-range often just adds mud to the stage sound and reduces clarity, all while making them work harder. HTH, David.
