Hi guys, I'm joe glad to meet everybody. I'm currently trying to decide what type of enclosure to go with in my 2010 Camaro SS. I have 2 of the 8" emf audio.com ghost series subwoofers. Nice little 2" copper voicecoil 8" subs. Power I have plenty of.. FS of subs is right around 40. Would like to try a folded horn. Just curious as to what and why you guys would suggest as to what may work best for those in a trunk. Or should I just go the safe way..lol and just do ported tuned at like 35 hz, or maybe .75ft3 sealed? Thanks, Joe

A true Folded Horn is large and should be used in groups of 4 or more to increase mouth size....Plus most true Folded Horns sound best when standing 40 ft away from the Cabs....When I did Car Stereo years ago I would use Dual 12 inch or Quad 12 inch...Some were sealed some ported at 35 to 30 Hz...Insane Bass...Moved on to Night Club and Arena Sound...Huge increase in the Paycheck.....VECTORSONICS

you get so much boost to the low frequencies from room gain in a vehicle that you don't even need a ported box. right driver in the right sized sealed box will give great transients and low frequency extension.

I have 4 is total. I'm pretty sure the sealed output will be more than enough. I had 4 JL 8w0 on a ppi art series 600 sealed. And it was amazing. I almost forgot about that setup it was in 1993...lol. thanks guys
