Spotted these on facebook marketplace. Nice to see something a bit different.

Have never seen this type of design before, where the cone driver is set back in a tube.

Presumably to time-align with the compression driver.

I wonder how well they work?

Normally a design like that would have a plug of some kind in front of the cone centre to provide some horn loading, like a Turbo-tube or the old Meyer MSL3 and similar speakers. It's hard to see from the picture if that's what these have.
