What are all the drivers suitable for the super scooper 18 as I probably can't afford the PD1850[but I'll see when I sold my other bass bins]. PD186 hopefully otherwise I'll use something cheaper.

Thinking of using Fane Collossus 18B or 18B-600 or XB or Eminence Sigma Pro or Emega Pro,or Celestion Frontline 18.Or Eminence Kappa 18 if I don't get much for my bass bins.

We've used PD1850 and PD186 and are happy with both.  In fact I'd probably struggle to tell you what drivers are in which cabs at the moment....

Why not spend the £220 you were going to spend on a load of eminence 12"s on some decent drivers for once???

Yes but I do not have £600 or so quid at the moment. £220 would buy me only 1 PD1850 and then I still would have to get the other driver, plywood etc.

Got very limited cash of £150 at the moment, and hope to have a few more hundred when I sell the bass bins.

Well what factors do I need to look for when using drivers in scoops, that way I can buy a driver to suit my budget!

So what is the min x max a driver in a scoop should have?

Also should the BL be over 20 and the QTS below 0.30 for scoops???

And I read the FAQ and it says horns should use drivers with an EPB over 130. Is the Super Scooper 18 a proper horn or a horn assisted bandpass????

I'm not so sure, the 186 horn says you can use a RCF L18P300 which has an EBP of 89, the PD186 is lower I believe, so I guess its not the case.

The scoops in the eminence speaker manual suggests using kappa pro/sigma pro or omega pro 18's which all have EBP's under 130.

the sigma pro has an EBP of 112

the omega pro has an EBP of 93

So I could use Kappa Pro 15LF in 15 inch scoops, Sigma Pro 18 or Omega Pro 18 in the super scoopers???

Think I'm gonna save up for 2x PD186 instead, not too fond of using eminence for abusive[EQed/subharmonic snyth and pushed] [but non clipped] use.

If the PD 186 works in a scoop then the void v18 600 will probably also and its cheaper than a 186 maybe call alex at pap and ask

A scoop is a horn without the sealed rear chamber.

It requires different parameters for this reason.

This driver will work better in a scoop than your typical low Qts driver will.

A Qts of 0.98 suitable for a Scoop? More like the boot of a car.
