I can only find plans for usb using 18mm ply.
If I use 15mm ply then some of the internal dimentions will be slightly larger. If this sacrifice has to be made is it better to make the rear(back of the driver) chamber bigger or the front chamber bigger - or to make them equally bigger Alternativley - are there any 15mm plans about? |

The difference will be negligible
However using thinner ply you should try and put in a bit of extra bracing I mostly use 12mm and so long as you brace as close to every 6" as possible (but you can drill holes in the braces to allow sound to pass through) you should be fine Stu |

Volume differences between single cabinets made from 15 mm and 18 mm, are in the 7,5 liter range. Evenly divided over both chambers (and horn) the differences can be neglected.
Adding only to the rear chamber will improve the low end response a bit, in exchange for a bit lower mechanical powerhandling.

Thanks guys, I think ill try and do it so the all the chamber sizes increase as evenly as possible and look out for where I can put more bracing.
Although the extra bracing will actually reduce the chamber size |

will the thickness of the wood be noticably detrimental to strength and sound quality
