I think there was a thread before the hack about ways to stack the HD15 to get best coverage. I've been quite aware that if you stack them so that the curve runs vertically then they have a quite noticeable directivity, and if you step a little off axis you lose a lot of kick. For the times when i won't have a single pile of them i'll be using 3 each side. I was thinking of stacking so that the top and bottom ones in each stack have the horn opening out towards the middle of the room (the curved section curving towards the centre of the room between the stacks) where most people will be, with the middle one going the other way to at least give some coverage. Will this affect the way they couple at all and are there better ways of doing it? |
