Wise decision as the F2B cabinet is more compact than the Mk3 and performs just as good if not better---We have just fetched six F2B and six F1 mid/hi cabinets out of an install and the system really is superb with plenty of bottom end without an 18" in sight---cheers--John.

Its strange that alot of people are going back to use older martin stuff. I think it really shows how well they perform, even to modern 'standards'. shame its abit thin on the ground!

The archives are a goldmine.

Looking forward to results if anybody's handy with a measuring tape.

ATTENTION ALL F2B OWNERS!

Please would you gather in this place so I can mind control you and gain knowledge of the innards of a Martin F2B. Measuring tape may be required.

There is a problem with measuring F2B cabinets as it is very difficult to measure all the internal bits of the horn folding through the letterbox port and also you have got to be carefull which drivers you are going to use due to minimal clearance with the magnet and the trap door---we have ours stripped down and empty at present for about a week as we are re-furbing them so if anyone wants to come down to sunny Shropshire with a tape measure, you are quite welcome to measure some of the last ones that Martin Audio built---Its gonna cost you a pint in the village pub though---cheers--John.

It seems that we have a winner! Thumbs%20Up

I would go down there myself, but whoever goes gets a copy of bassbox pro if you don't have it already.

Robbo what do you load these with? 1550s by any chance?

No---PD 1550 drivers will not fit----I will measure the max speaker chasis depth tomorrow and post it on here as there are not a lot of drivers that will fit in them---cheers--John.
