MT122 made smaller with only one 12 inch. Dom managed to do something like that. Or MT102 which is smaller or this design: Top loaded [10"/1"] This luidspaeker system have been devised by outline. This construction exists from two horns. Hogetonenhoorn for a 1 "driver and middentonehoorn for 10" a luidspreker. By the horn construction the output is high. The middentoon reflect horn as from 200 Hz to approximately 1600 Hz. The crossover frekwentie with the hogetonenhoorn must lie approximately between 1500 - 1600 the Hz. Luidsprekers The middentonen horn are suitable for 10 luidsprekers. Luidsprekers with rather low Qts are suitable. The 1 driver must be be used arranged as from approximately 1600 Hz. The here use horn is Beyma TD 250. Construction the housing is made of 15 mm birches plywood. The connections are glued and are screwed, as a result, its steunlatten superfluous. Below a vooraanzicht, a bovenaanzicht (dwarsdoorsnede) and a they aspect (dwarsdoorsnede) are represented. Below a number of images of the top cupboard stands: ? the luidsprekers used in advancement with (Craaft 10/150 and JBL 2420)? a vooraanzicht of the eventual cupboard? a rear view without achterpaneel (binnenwerk is therefore visible)? detail photograph of the applied filter.

I've not had any problems with a single 12" keeping up with anything. Happily run 1 twelve over 6k of bass and have loads of headroom to spare. You only really need more for wider dispersion...

yeah... i'm kind of feeling my four a side is a bit o.t.t. in light of how very
loud two seem to be able to go. i frequently have to tackle funny dispersion problems though and i like the idea of fanning out. got four set up in the living room, damn it's nice, maybe it's because they are only pecker 100W drivers that i get away with it. within the next fortnight we will have tested four a side in anger and i shall be able to report just how well the avatar arrays. i have my doubts... your stack as shown in t'other thread is looking extremely tidy dom. james. |

this being the ones with the fancy dado construction? yes please... i am
trying to convince rich_ind that it is worth going to such lengths when fabricating boxes, he is a fan of quick and simple butted joints all round. as i've said before, seeing as we are going to the trouble of using good wood and everything, we should really do the best job possible. he on the other hand is aware that we still haven't as such finished the 8 mid horns we started building in march. sorry to hear about your back fella. mine is grumbling but operational, i am farming out most of the heavy lifting, particularly the new all-in- wonder amp rack (which must be getting on for 200kg). the mri scan showed that my bottom disc looks like that of a 45 year old, it is all dehydrated, squished and frayed. apparently eating lots of glucoseamine and vitamin c whilst hanging up side down is supposed to help. or something along those lines... my convalescence was spent with hornresp and bass box pro, so not entirely wasted. james. by the way, cracking bit of google translation there toxic! nice looking top box and all. |
