I want to build a Sub with the same plans as the 184 Sub, but for a Beyma 15G40 woofer. Will it work? Wich changes needs to be done? (Front Port lengts? Chamber sizes?). Somebody can help me to calculate the sizes and port lengts of this box? My plan is to made only one sub, to use it with 2 10'+1' Beyma Tops. Is it a good idee? Is this sub the best way for this system? Or is a simple bassreflex loaded box better? (Or may be a Horn, but normally they need to be stacked). Informations about the 15G40 can be find at this URL : http://profesional.beyma.com/ENGLISH/pdf/descarga.php?pdf=15 G40.pdf Thanks for all Regards, Nicolas |

Get a copy of WinISD and put the dimensions of the box and ports into it. then load the driver you're interested in and see how it looks. Then fiddle with the port lengths and see what effect it has

Why not use the spec'd PD184 do you already have the Beyma's?

Yes, I already have the beyma, but after some research on the net, building a bandpass to use it with 10'+1' tops seems to be a bad idee. The problem of the bandpass is that he could not give bass over 100-120Hz. It is better to use it as a subwoofer than as a "bass" box.
