Would the fane soverign 10-275 be a suitable driver for the X10? specs are here:
http://www.bluearan.co.uk/sales/fane/specs/Sovereign10-275.pdf

seem fairly similar to the SN10MB to me, but not sure if the cab would still need changing to suit

The frequency response for that fane is awful. I wouldn't worry trying to match the T/S parameters with the SN10mb. These parameters are mainly to calculate the lowend/bass response - something that a 10" isn't going to have anyway.

Same with the cabinet - there is no bass anyway so leave it alone unless the design doesn't suit you for other reasons.

I would concentrate more on a smooth frequency response and look for something with a high efficiency.

Try the celestion TN1020  56.86 from Blue Aran for a budget option. It is also neo so much lighter.

Lastly, although I said don't worry too much about the T/S parameters - try to get a speaker with a QTS no higher than about 0.3 - higher than this indicates a cheap speaker with a weak magnet usually.
