Hello everyone hope your all enjoying your day..............  Before one commits to the factory replacements does anyone have any recommendations or preferences for phono cables to fit the trusty SL1210. /tx 4D |

I always just buy a half decent 2-3m phono cable and chop it in half, giving two replacement cables.
CPC has a massive selection
Just don't be tempted with anything too thick as you won't be able to use the strain relief as originally intended. You can dispense with the bottom half of the clamp if you do end up with a cable that's too thick...

This is what i've done. Although, I use (quite thick) car audio rca-cables that have a cable inbetween the phono leads for remote power-up of car-amps and use it as the ground cable. No more flimsy third leads! Just as Dom said I only used the bottom part of the strain relief, just wrap a bit of electrical tape around the cable to get it to fit snuggly. Might not be the most elegant solution, but neither are my 1200's... |

Nice modification provides instant rectification for what is becoming an acute problem what with youth of the dj with their Serato's and lap tops excitedly tugging the flexes clean out of their little phono's ..............then sending their mate in a panic to tell you its "all f**ked".  |

Just buy the correct ones from Pansonic they are £8.50 + vat Trade. you won't notice any difference.
