im currently making 8, they needed 14 sheets
i imagine you'll need 3 sheets for one, 5 for two, 8 for four, etc

that seems a bit steep, lyndon flipside's cut sheet for the punisher has his
bits squeezed out of 1 + 1/2 sheets of 8 x 4... i would happily use more
sheets to make the cutting easier but it shouldn't be much more than that
should it? 8 and 14 sounds about right.

my martins are taking just over 2 sheets per box, but i am cutting
everything to template friendly dimensions. i don't mind buying a little extra
wood as in the end, nothing is wasted.

quite possibly, ive never made less than four, and i think i did them out of 8 sheets. i have 5mm tongues on most of my pieces though, its not much, but it does stop a couple of bits fitting in the most convenient way they could

Hello Loophole,

Are you going to post some pictures of your work on the Punishers? Any chance to hear all 8 the same time with proper amping?

Best regards,

Walt

I will be posting some of my own variations on the punisher plan, just to make a few bits easier and quicker to assemble.

I've looked at all the photos I could find of the punisher to get it right!! I noticed on Ivens build, he doesn't appear to bother with the 12 degrees /168 degree cut on the two 'V' shape panels. Does that affect the sound, that was the hardest cut to do.

Getting one punsiher out of 1.5 sheets of ply is difficult, but doable! We had to a do a little different as we decided to route our access panels in. We didn't need to use battens which gives more space for your hands. We may do metal access panels next time, depending on the cost.

by heck no. although a pile of wsx hornsubs loaded with void 1000s does
have it's own very particular lure, these are a variant of the 215 mkIII. should
be cool. full build pics and test results to come.

keep trying. it is a bit more of a specialist item so get the yellow pages out
and phone around your local, and then not so local timber yards. it is out
there...
