This driver looks like it should work ok in the mt102 but I've never
built horns before! They're rated as 200wrms each with 100db
sensitivity and a BL of over 19,qts of .23 and fs of 77hz or so.
I'm in Australia so the recommended drivers are difficult to get my hands on,these however are easy and seem to have good specs as well as easily accessible recones. The P series 10" 350rms driver says it has 100db sensitivity but seems to hover around 90-93 for most of the range on their response graphs. At the moment cannonsound have these drivers on fibreglass flares and claim SPL is DEFINATELY NOT a problem! I'd rather the bigger beefier drivers but if its a 10db loss in spl compared to the cheaper E series,I'm not interested! Is there anyone who knows the inputs for this horn in hornresp so I can check it out? Thanks for your time ![]() |

Have you considered the SN10MB? Parameters look good for horns although I haven't simulated yet.
Should be easy to do a rough simulation for the MT102, just do it for one driver and half the flare. Only needs to be an exponential approximation to check the driver will work. Should be able to calculate throat and mouth area and read length off the plans. |

Ok I went and modelled the tops using the p10-100mb and it produced a continuous average of 133db(135db in areas) and is pretty flat to 800hz 30deg off axis(2 drivers at 700wrms) Is this what people have been getting with this cab or is it low? I think I've got the inputs in Hornresp correct. |

Supply of the drivers was a problem at the time I started the topic and instead build dual 15" ported with 2" comps, plenty of output I must say so I'm not worried about the 102's anymore!
