we have been running our system with tms2s for our tops and they sound really good
we use 4 over 8 punishers or 3 over 6 punishers ( punishers are powered of 1 infi 8)
we have just upgraded to 12 punishers and are geting another infi 8 so that will be
6 x punishers of 1 infi 8 x 2.

we are looking to get another pair of tms2s to cover this we have the amp power already (infi 4x and infi 6x) which would be ideal but its looking like at the mo there arnt any about for sale ad also as i understand you cant get hold of the original drivers but can get the equivalent drivers with slightley different specs

so the whole point of this post is just to see what people think of x-tros as an option for tops for this system in terms of cost, application, maintenance, sound quality. etc ?

Personally mate I'd stick with the Turbosound on top, if only for the brand recognition giving you the potential to get more hires. Plus, the Xtros need a hell of a lot more juice per cab. You'll only be able to run 2 Xtros at most off your existing amps, and that's in mono as well.

What toasty said.

What would you hope to gain by using xtro instead - do you find the kick range is struggling to keep up or summat?

If so I guess copying the tms2 kick horn and making some HD215 style kick horns to supplement where necessary is an option...
