The PD1850 is an awesome driver, if you have enough amplifier power to run them properly. The reason the Void drivers are propbrably a better choice is that they are much more efficient, and give a slightly smoother sound.

A couple of people on the forum have been using PD for years, then they have tryed these new Void drivers, they won't go back to PD.

Hi,thanks for the info.I'm currently running an Audiohead ah2400(1200x2 @4ohms,2000 @ 8ohms-bridged) amp as at the mo I only have 2 18s.I will be running up to 8 x 18s in the near future,Been doing a lot of research and Crown vz5000,Camco,Infinte amps seem to be the best choice for running subs, but if I'm running 8 x 18s( Void drivers ) how many amps would I need to power them ?I know these amps go down to 2 ohms but how would I hook up the subs to get down to this?

Thanks again

if you get an infinate8 it does 3700W into 2ohms per side...so you could power all 8 from this, 4 per side with around 900W into each driver......

....just connect 4 speakers in parrallel to each channel of the amp 4 8ohm drivers in parrallel = 2ohm load .....if you put input on each cab and then wire in out puts on three(3 per side) so you can chain the cabs together.....that'll work nicely....

...theres some good stuff on the pa theory pages in the links section that deal with  conecting speakers in parallel and calculating impeadence etc

cheers

Without judging by actually hearing them, but with the experience of some users, I'd say both are very good drivers, but the V18 def. has more output.
