Looking to purchase a pair of truss stands for Robe 575xt moving heads. I have spoken to one of the suppliers and he quoted £400 for a pair inc delivery. It included 2 * base plates, 2 * tops plates and 2 * 2m truss. Does anyone know any other suppliers and is it a fair price for these

as in to mount a single fixture on top of each vertical truss piece?

What type/make of truss?
It's all about the music & the vibe, so enjoy it while you can.

tbh £200 sounds pretty reasonable to me. You MIGHT get it just a bit cheaper but what is your time worth trying to hunt a bargain down?

£200 is reasonable but not sure how sturdy they will be as i'm planning to put a robe 575 head on it, i like the one from gds which has a very solid base plate, just want to see whether anyone has any recommendations on these

off the top of my head i think my brother paid about £150 per 2m length of truss. and another £60 per base/top plate.. he bought LITEC box truss. QX30. so a total of about £540...

If you wanna go down this route I would think getting a "Known" truss solution would be good as you may want to extend/adapt later.

£400 sounds like a reasonable price, for a 575 ou don't need to go far past Opti Tril-lite with Heavy bases (we have some 15mm steel plate laser cut in 1000mm across face octagons and put Opti-base plates on it which looked a peach and was really solid....

If you are getting a decent quad (sorry I don't know a lot about small truss, I kinda do trilite and then James Thomas super truss and I find that covers all gigs!!) for £400 with plates I feel you may save 10% and get a shitter of a solution..
