2226 in a scoop ?

hi
 
would a jbl 2226 suit a scoop design?
 would like to use 60hz and below with some hd 15 doing kick to give good sub and kick. from what ive read on hear the pasing would be tricky but not imposable.
 
just trying to figure out somthing good to do with my four 2226s as i dont wont to sell them as i payed to much for them when i was a little more nieve about such things.
 
hear one plan ive found
 
 
i have found more in the past but cant find at mo.

im not totaly set on scoop just wont something  to give some half decent sub that is'nt reflex

the 2226 has a huge cone excursion of 1.6 inches,so although u dont want a reflex box,they would work well in that...i have a few in some ASS horns (like a double HD15) and they sound nice in that as well,but not quite as good as the E140....how much did u pay for them,if u dont mind me asking?

yes,tis a little expensive,but not outragous,usual price for nice clean ones is about £75 -100 ish.

perhaps think about using them in your HD15's if you havent already got them completed. i tested a 2226 in a HD 15 and it sounded great, kicked like a mule with a really clean sound.

we had 15" scoops loaded with 2226's and they sounded better than anything else ive heard in 15" scoops, and they only had 450w each going in!! 
 
we played ours upto 120-130 but if you have a seperate kick bin may i suggest more like 80-90 to get the most out of them.

Did you buy those from Ebay?
 
If so, they came from Salford Uni, I sold them to a fella who put them on Ebay a couple of months ago.

mmm was thinking to put them in the hd15  but pd 154 are quite reasonably priced.
 
i kinda have my hart set on hd15 (four for the now) with subs under. this is to suit the music our sound system is mainly about.
 
so it seems to be a choice of using the 2226 in the hd and start subs from scratch but what im thinking is that generally scoops can go quit low with good sensitivity in the range of intrest.
 
 
@12345  do you know the design of scoop you had them in?
