Since the only horses in that stable are made from steel, they don't mind

(Stable is used for mc-garage and speaker testing, no animals hurt during sound experiments!)

What are you doing with Altair amps (in Sweden)? That´s a bit far north for them!  Smile

They where powering a d.a.s rig at the local school for higher education.

The rig consisted of four d.a.s RF-212 and four d.a.s dubbel 18" subs. (i got thoose tops also Smile)
A mix of Ecler and Altair amps. D.a.s crossovers and Ecler eq´s. Now replaced with Dynacord amps and speakers.

The Swedish importer of d.a.s is based in my hometown, i guess they came to Sweden that way.

Nice amps, i use one mf-12 to power my home speakers. Canton Ergo RC-L.

The tops are "Kräm" a Swedish brand. Beyma drivers, cp385nd and 10G40.

DAS and Altair - now you´re talking!   LOL

When I first moved down here, half the rigs around were those. Some of the old DAS stuff is actually quite good, but now replaced with plastic line de-rays...Disapprove

A made a little experiment last night..

I have been providing pa for a club this entire summer with two G-subs (Beyma18G550) driven by a Lab FP-3400 and a pair of "Kräm" tops (10G40&cp385nd). Driven by a Altair MF-12 (amprack above) Crossed at 40-130 and tops 130-20k.
Playing house, deephouse and techno.

Yesterday a brought two Tham15 and another Altair MF-12 Wink

I set the crossovers to 32-80 for the Gsubs and 80-140 for the Tham15. Tops at 140-20k.
Altair on Thams in 4r Bridge giving 1500wrms
Lab on Gubs in 4r stereo giving 2x1500wrms
Altair on Tops at 8r Stereo giving a modest 2x360wrms

Nice mix. Sounded very tight.
Now i need to finish all 6 Tham15´s and replace the Gsubs with something that goes lower.. With the 18G550 drivers..  Ojoj, more to the to-do list.. Ouch

Someone told me that a used FP-3400 and a new PKN XE6000 are in the same pricerange.. Does anyone here need a nice Lab? Big smile

Hi Tony.

How would you advise setting up 4 thams a side? would you stack all vertically or place them next to each other to get them to couple properly.
