Marjan, The 7K024 stands for 7k. 2 ch. 4 ohms. I actually run the amps at 2.5k into 8 ohms. One 1x18 cab per ch. on Sub.
Regarding the running, I have only put Pink noise through it so far just to test continuity. Only finished it this eve. Start again Monday Morning.

Has anyone compared the 7K with the usual D class suspects on sub duty?

Before anyone steps in I will say this. when I first demo'd the R2U system, comments were made about the Musicality of the sound and the fact that you could hear all the Bass notes on the track. Well it would easy for me to take the credit and say it's all the the boxes, but I know that without a good amp the boxes would be a waste of time, in my eyes anyway. After some discussion the Amp appeared in it's present format which is a Stereo amp made up of two amps per side permanently Bridged, which I was always led to believe is the best way to run an amp technically, and it's class AB.
There are plenty of these amps out in the field now so the success of the amp should speak for itself

Tony i get that, but where i am no one have ever heard of Matrix. I have never heard it so that is why i need some first hand experience comments. Sound, power.

As said before, there are plenty of Matrix users now, hopefully they'll speak up at some point. If you were hear in the UK, I wouldn't be talking too much, I would try to get you to come to one of my Gigs, and then you'd hear for yourself.
I haven't yet learnt how to convey a sound with a Keyboard. So you may have to trust in the written word.

Personally went from a peavey cs1200x in bridged to a matrix 5000g powering a g-sub 186 loaded. (one om a channel of the matrix)
so supposedly similar powers going into the box. at first was a bit unsure about the matrix but after a bit of tuning so much happier with the sound |

Matrix are so cost effective, so it's well worth seeing if it's feasible to use at 8 ohms. I'm delivering more power with headroom at 8 ohms than I was doing 2 cabs per ch at 4, and the amp runs cooler, which in a Dance Music situation has to be a big consideration.
