What purpose box are they supposed to go in and what frequency range should they cover? (sub)bass, midbass?

Of the two drivers you've selected I'd say the 15W750 is going to be more suited to the frequency range you're aiming to cover but will quickly run out of xmax. A quick check in WinISD suggests that neither will really give you a solid 40Hz.

For more sub-bass you may be better off looking at the 15LW1401 or 15LW2400 which are dedicated sub drivers. They would give you less SPL around 60-80Hz but a lot more in the 40-50Hz range. It depends what you're after.

What sort of music will you be playing and do you know the internal volume of the Opus box they are going in?

Proper capitalisation is the difference between helping your Uncle Jack off a horse and helping your uncle jack off a horse.

What happened to the original Opus drivers? Just to check these are reflex bins we're talking about aren't they?

To work out which driver would give you the best performance its helpful to know the internal cabinet volume. This could probably be guessed close enough if you measure the external dimensions of the cab. IIRC Opus use 24mm ply. Re-tuning the cab to suit the replacement driver shouldn't be too difficult.

yeh i'll measure the cab outside and get back to you, yes that are reflex, they are ATC drivers one is evidently blown, not a good look nor professional so need to replace that one at least, also altho they are quiet sought after by hi fi buffs the ATC do sound good and do shake most buildings they are in however they are only 400rms each so I need them louder, they are good solid cabs so I think that can take 2000K

also I aint too good with wood so I just would like to whack them in simple
