Does the Martin Audio W3P run passive mode fullrange? or only bi-amp?
I have a offer on 2 x Martin Audio W3P mint for 400€ the two, does the W3P compete in the same league of a JBL SP215-6 or is a better speaker more headroom due to is horn load mid-hi section? I have 4 JBL SP215-6 and I know the output they have, just want to know how Martin W3P compare to the JBL SP215. I know JBL is 600Watts rms speaker, and W3P says 400W aes? the more power not always can give more headroom , don´t you think? Regards Jorge .

in the Martin Pdf manual says :
W3P TYPE Compact bi-amplified 3-way trapezoid FREQUENCY RESPONSE 55Hz-18kHz ± 3dB LOW FREQUENCY LIMIT -10dB @ 45Hz DRIVERS 15” (380mm) / 3” (75mm) voice coil 6.5” (165mm) horn loaded mid-range 1” (25mm) exit HF compression driver RATED POWER LF: 400W AES, 1600W peak MF/HF: 150W AES, 600W peak RECOMMENDED AMPLIFIER 400-600W into 4 ohms from the read above , I understand that the W3P is 550Watts AES in Passive mode Fullrange? Why they rated them 400W aes in some papers? |

If it was me, I'd have the Martin Audio cabs over the JBL any day of the week.

What do you mean a total steal if you buy them for that? You think that is a bad deal for 400 € for the 2x Martin w3p?
