Hi,

Im looking for a good combination of sub+x-tro, and I have some questions.

Is it good for techno musics? (tekno, electro, hardtekno, trance, prog, psytrance...)
Do X-tro are good enough over subs (for kick bins?)

If yes, what is the best sub with x-tro?

Im thinking about it :
Stack of 6 MTH 4654( RCF LF18G401), 30Hz-100Hz
             3 X-tro 100Hz-....

Does that work well? Better than a sub+mid+top ?

Thank you

The MTH + Xtro would be a good combo.
If it sounds like a gorilla is trying to escape, turn it down.

Do you think MTH-46VS would be better instead MTH 4654 for me?

EDIT :

I was thinking about Invader bin..  (Colossus PRIME 18XS)
Do you think it could be great ?

xtro is a dutch design aimed at the techno scene, so yes it will perform very good for those genres, but i wouldn't want to use it for live music. Have a look at punishers , lab horns, 1850 horn, invader, super bass horn...

the fibreglass mid horn will improve this a little i think but yes over all bad for live music.
But for techno , tekno, goa , dance music etc they are a very good DIY solution.

whats the reason for that decision  if i may ask?
I would have chosen a longer horn for sub if my tops play down to 85hz..

Good choice!
But lab horn and xtro combo would also be nice.
