Long time lurker here, first time poster :)

Looking at building a set of compact 12" tapped horns soon, and I'd pretty much settled on the THAM12 when I saw that the late great Tony Wilkes had produced his own spin on a compact TH, namely the FTH-12. It seems as though he released the plans, but since his passing the Forte Audio site has disappeared into the void of expired domains hijacked by adult advertisments.

Just wondering if anyone still had a copy of the FTH-12 plans lying around somewhere?

Bee inherited his designs. He might be able to help you, in exchange for a small donation to the heart disease foundation.

Well it's already officially put out on here somewhere, I have it, shouldn't I share?

Well there's something even better, the WAE tham-12 hits 100 db at 40hz and if v-plated in pairs 35-36 hz 100 db. His simulation is very nice, however I could never get his hornresp inputs to fit any of his designs:-)

You can choose your design after your choice; low knee, sensivity or volume.
Tham 12 seems to have cone -expansion issues, the ss15 v2 & xco1 v2 takes this into account in a danley style way that extends the hornpath.
We put the cone / hole volume into account by doing 2 things: adding a WAEs "expansion" at S2 and by planning a handle in front of the speaker cone, d&b Q7 style.

So now I've started a design from scratch, currently we stock with the question wether 90 degree corners are bad or not?
45 degree reflectors should help giving a better upper bass.
On the other hand the decreased volume might give less low bass?

Don't go for corner reflectors. Maximum internal volume to get the most out of your box.

i believe someone on another forum.pointed out how they was only really usefull outside the boxes range... not upper bass but well above it. i'd go for maximum box volume.

If it sounds like a gorilla is trying to escape, turn it down.

Hello people... I am excited to stumble across your forum..  I would love to build a few of these. I have done much research and I am settled on building Tony Wilkes FTH-12,  but I can not find the plans anywhere. Can anyone be so kind as to direct me to the plans? Thank you for your time, and have a great day...
