Well...
In my travels I came across a whole TSE111 flying rig still being used... was in storage while we flew a bunch of L'Acoustic kit but all there... ![]() ![]() ![]() It's a bit far away but I reckon if you give Hobart Entertainment Center a ring they might have spares !!The guy in the photo is FOH eng for the Foos .... we were both marveling at a bit of history. .p.

Hi,
if you want something making, i'm a fabricator / welder. Id need drawings of what you wanted or an existing set to copy. what flying frames are you wanting ? do you just want small ones like this to hang one cab ? http://thumbs.worthpoint.com/zoom/images2/360/0214/03/turbosound-tse-111-mid-high-speakers_360_6b2c65b9cd2bc9551f727b3cdb512e00.jpg or do you want to be able to hang multiple cabs from each other and from a frame like above ? I also know of a testing facility near me who makes lifting equipment for cranes.. they could probably load test any frames and give a proper SWL cert too, but it wont come cheap compared to just the frames. |

TSE111 was one of the most popular ever install cabinets in the seventies and eighties---there must be hundreds of redundant flying frames lying about all over the UK----try putting a wanted ad on Rig Resale and other relevant sites and you may have a pleasant surprise.

Some info on Turbosound flying frames:
Here are a couple of TSE-111 flying frames owned by a friend of mine, taped together with red tape, which I sold for him on ebay maybe 20 years ago. I don't remember ever seeing any other ones for sale secondhand unfortunately. ![]() Here is a photo of one in use from an old Turbsound brochure. ![]() Here is a two page Turbsound article about flying Floodlight and Flashlight. ![]() ![]() Edited by APC321 - 18 February 2026 at 5:40pm |

Do you mean the ones that fit to the cabinets, or the overhead heavy metalwork? The original overhead suspension frames for large systems and installations were made by MAN Flying Systems and were big and heavy. MIck retired from the flying systems business decades ago (and went back to racing motorbikes). There may be some lying around in a few venues or warehouses, but they are more likely to have been scrapped by now. And if any still exist, probaby nobody remembers what they were for... If you are getting new frames made these days, you will have to get them tested and certified. Not a simple job. The cabinet fillings should be a lot easier to find (or make).
