all you need to know is that they're light enough to carry on your own if you aint a wuss and much lighter than any other bass bin (that i've picked up anyways). Put 2 bar handles on the sides and they're a piece of piss.

Yeah, i know, I have 8 of them

Getting 8 upto my 5th floor flat without a lift was a bit of a bitch, especially since i cant even park nearby.

Thank god i got a lockup sorted starting this weekend

Anyway, I was just curious really

I haven't got round to measuring the HD15's yet but the X15's are about 32-34kg (crap scales)  Going by human judgement i'd say the HD15's are going on 40kg although yours might be less without the metalwork.  They're certainly a preferable 2 man lift

From that I infer you are a wuss.

LOL my sub bass bins[Martin Audio BX2 18 inch bass reflex/bandpass hybrid design] weigh bloody 70kg; i guess with 25mm marine ply cab and RCF L18P300 and lots of big metal bar handles and aluminium extrusion weighs a lot.

I have to unbolt the speaker everytime i carry it up stairs and carry it up seperate its a right headache.Driver is bolted in with 8 huge bolts from behind baffle, and you remove the back of cab to get at it....Driver weighs a ton like 30kg and is damn tricky to hold[by gripping magnet]

So I can see myself selling those sub bass bins if i do any more upstairs parties/gigs.

Can lift up to 40kg on my own, 50kg is a stuggle for me to lift.

I guess it must be because of my stupid short arms or wussness, but carrying 8, 5 flights of stairs, on my own is a utter whore!

Thank god for lockup with lift and stuff, horray!

Yep, car to house are fine but as soon as a reasonable distance and/or stairs are involved I have to get the girlfriend out to lift the otherside (and it strengthens her grip so there are secondary benefits too...)

Buy a flat on the moon and you'll be able to float them up the stairs. Having no atmosphere may be an issue for the sound though.
