hello all - i was wondering what the price would be to build my own porn horns? I cant find a cheap source in america. I would like to build two to use with about 4-6 hd15s. I will build 6 hds if i can find one amp to power them all, and 4 hds if the porn horn cant keep up with 6. Thanks for the help.

one porn horn could easily keep up with 6 hd15s... but if you in the states i would look at other cabs, standard mt121 would do you with a good horn 12" driver

surely 1 porn horn would not have the coverage / dispersion to allow just one per side - good to have at least 80 degrees im most venues.

you would think that Chris but the coverage is quite good... look at the quoted polar plots
if you only need two then they make sense... any more then two cabs and it starts getting expensive and other options become more appealing

The price of a fully built cab versus components is so small that you'd be a bit silly to think about building unless you you REALLY enjoy the building. By the time you factor in additional parts, paint, grille, etc its looking a very close run thing on price, not to mention time. |
