lookin to replace the H/D in my PC
any other recomendations in this price range?
dont really know to much about seek speed etc so could someone give this item the once over n tell me if it looks any good or not, thanks

I only buy seagate and failing that western digital hard drives. Only makes I haven't had any problems with.

I always go for Seagate or failing that Western Digital in all our servers and workstations. Like bn3 only drives not had any issues with.
The server grade Seagates always end in 'NS' at the end of the part number, for example their ITB Seagate Barracuda ES drive part number is ST31000340NS. The server grade ones cost a bit more, but if you are after reliability then they are the ones to go for. Never really rated Samsung and would certainly stay well clear of Maxtor as nearly every Maxtor harddrive I have ever used has failed. |

Whilst not the server grade drives, I've been putting seagate barracuda drives in every PC I've built over the last 8 years or so and have never had a problem with any of them.

guya whats the difference between sata 1, 2, & 3 drives?
am i able to use any of them or does it have to be a particullar one of them?
