I just wanted to show you my latest creation.

It's a 3 way mid top with horn loaded mid and high sections.

They are loaded with:
1x15" woofer - P-audio P150-2226 - 1000W
1x10" mid - P-audio P10-100MB - 300W
1x1.5" Driver - P-audio BM-D740II - 100W

The mid + high section's sensitivity is 106 dB/1W @ 1 m
The Low section's sensitivity is 99dB/1W

The speaker is biamplified with the woofer on 1+, 1- and the mid+hi on 2+, 2-
I am using a passive crossover between mid and driver.

The crossover points are 250 and 2500Hz

i will post more pics from the construction process tomorow

The fiberglass horn and phaseplug are made here in Romania.

I'm not really a friend of mister Wong :)

Looks tidy but I would've recessed the whole lot so the forma could cover the full front.

Looks sharp Mircea.

Did you rotate the HF horn to give it a tighter dispersion for horizontal arraying?

I wanted to make it look more agressive. Wink

the ideea was to have a mid top that can be used also without subs for smaller events and not need a forklift to move. Horn loading the LF would have reduced the extension and made the box a lot bigger.

No, the horn is mounted the correct way (it's a PH64 - 60x40degree dispersion)
We had a discussion with the design department at P-audio a few years ago about the correct mounting of these horns. Turns out that this is how they're supposed to be mounted for the corect dispersion.

I think the HF is the wrong way wrong! I have some EV cabs with very similar horns and yours are 90 degrees rotated compared to mine. My cabs are 60 H x 40 V dispersion.

Mircea,

this model looks nice , I like it Clap
Do you have some frequency plots ?
it reminds me one of my last design. It's a very very successful box. I'm selling hundreds per month.
Wish you the same success !
