most bridge issues are due to wiring the plugs.

Looking at the little diagram on the back of the amp, the bridge outlet, as expected, is wired speakon 1+ and 1- at the amp end, which will then be wired 1+ and 1- at the speaker end. So a normal speakon cable with pair 1 wired, pin to pin for your single bridged speaker.

Hi, cheers for your help, that's not by reading of the diagram though, seem to me to be saying +1 and +2 need to be wired to +1 and -1

In any case I've tried every wiring configuration and nothing seems to work.  The only effect that I can get out of the bridge switch is a small drop in volume with bridge engaged when I have a +1 -1 speakon connected to channel 1

If its working properly in stereo then there's no reason  that wouldn't work in bridge mode. Your wiring is correct ie the +ch1 and +ch2 driving 1+/-1 of the bridge speakon connector. I suspect the problem may be in the phase of the XLR inputs. One needs to be out of phase with the other. I haven't seen a manual for that, but some Cloud amps I've used need both inputs connected with pin 2 hot on one channel and pin 3 hot on the other which you can achieve on that amp with the input phase switches.

Obviously you need to have the XLRs wired for balanced audio, and not using some sort of unbalanced/balanced converter...

Thanks - it does seem to be that yes - I've got output from it by just using a short XLR from the link out into channel 2 input but as is it's actually louder if you have the amp set to stereo rather than bridge - makes total sense that it's a phase issue.  There are some other switches on the XLR inputs, 2 phase-3 phase and asymmetric/symmetric so maybe they're for the purpose of setting up the phase for bridge mono.

Well, I'm not familiar with that amp so I don't want to give you advice that might lead to damage, but if I was trying to get it to work based on what I can see on the rear panel then I would try the speakon you've wired connected to the speakon bridge out, set to bridge mode, connect input to channel 1 with phase set to 2, connect jumper lead out of 1 to input 2 with phase set to 3. Switch it off first and dont move the switches when it's powered on. The volume pots will have to be in exactly the same positions for it to work properly.

Yeah sounds right, I did think the same thing about the volume pots as well - otherwise your pushing more than you're pulling or vice versa - pretty convoluted way to implement bridged mono!
