I really like the driver. I was supriced how nice the top end is from a 4 inch vc. We will definitely use it in future products.

The top end is indeed pretty good for a 4" vc, with a quick listen I almost would say better then my DE800's. But before I say that for sure I must do some more tests and implementation.

I own, use and like both. The XT1464 is superb and has very good low extension but is a bit too big for some cabs. The XR does a very good job in my more compact multi-purpose boxes. |

I'm curious if the XR does the job down to 700 Hz, according to 18sound it's usable down to 800 Hz. If the combo works fine (ofcourse also off-axis) i'm going to keep the XR.
I'm also going to try and do some measurements with both ports closed, so just a closed box. I can get it to work down to 120 Hz ish with some EQ I'm satisfied
