On the subject of bringing in stuff from China, a little thing to consider...

There are many manufacturers who are quick take your money and send you goods, but what you get may have issues.

1. It may not conform to RoHS - if it's just you using it this isnt a massive issue - but if you are importing to resell, you are breaking the law if it doesnt comply.
2. Many do not have CE certification, if they cant be proven safe - your Public Liability Insurance may be invalidated.
3. If you are importing to resell, you become the 'producer' of those goods in the UK, and then probably have obligations under WEEE Regulations.
4. If you are selling imported amplifiers, you should have PRODUCT liability insurance in addition to PUBLIC liability insurance, they are different. Your PLI wont cover you if you sell a defective amplifier to someone and it kills somebody because its electrically unsafe. If you buy from a known european manufacturer/distributor, they will already have all of this in place.

If you buy one amp for personal use, no biggie. If you're importing 10 and reselling. Watch out.
