That big knot thats fallen out of one of the former battens upsets me I think you'll struggle to snap it now though! |

Keep pushing on, things are gonna get better.

Thanks all! RE; That knot in the batten, I wasn't too happy with it but literally had no batten left to cut another length so had to use that piece, although it wasn't actually as bad as it looks.

^^To be honest, no. I love the sound of the reflex cabs (JBL 2241 loaded) and as I've got a couple of pairs of 15+1's too it makes the rig very scaleable.

So, I've had the cabs out and about over the last few months and have been very happy with the results, had loads of positive comments and gained another regular booking the second time I had them out. I've also aquired another pair of the reflex bins and got hold of another pair of Fane Studio 12L's so knocked up another pair of the flared mids, the problem then was that one pair of the kick cabs wasn't enough so another pair is in the process of being built, I'll get some more pictures up as they progress.

So, pair number 2 are built, they just need filling, sanding and painting. No pictures unfortunately as I've been working in a dark, cramped garage and getting decent pictures was easier said than done, that said, the pictures would have only shown what's already been posted anyway but I'll definitely get some pictures of of the finished cabs.

So about 1 year on this build you say it sounds good the 118, but I have not seen a plot or response. Any other driver to consider like a Faital Pro 18" neodymium magnet? Thanks

Unfortunately I don't have any measuring software so can't post any plots, don't have any modelling software either to see what drivers will work, usually I just use my ears... I don't even know what the drivers are that they're loaded with at the moment, as said previously I had Peavey black widows in pair number one but sold them before they got blown. A mate had the drivers that are in them now sat on the shelf, they look to be an oem of some kind as there are no markings on them but they are cast chassis with a 4" coil and staight cone, they sound better than the Peaveys!

i have 2 x PD 186 version 1 and brand new I was thinking of building B&C 18 subs but I was leaning towards your TSE's 118 but it will be heavy so I was thinking the Faital neons since I get good pricing from Faital. Thanks
