I'm pretty sure this has been spoken about a fair few times before but new deals and companies come and go all the time so worth asking again,
I've just set up a new company dealing with pretty much everything event related, whatever we cant provide ourselves we can do through subcontractors (who will obviously have their own insurances for the area's they cover), and I could use a bit of advice on the best solutions to go down when it comes to PLI (will need to cover speaker systems stacked up to 3 metres, the ones I have found won't cover it that high, also must cover truss and lighting, power solutions such as generators and outdoor power cabling etc, all of which we provide ourselves), as well as equipment insurance, which needs to cover both equipment in storage as well as equipment out on both dry & wet hire, Can anyone suggest anything to help me out here, good, reasonably priced places to go, how much I should expect to be paying? I'm kind of in the dark when it comes to this stuff. Many thanks!

Doodsons. Or Loop, who are ex Doodsons. The answers never change if you’re serious.
The cost will depend on what you want covered and where. Just call for an assessment and quote. Edited by toastyghost - 14 September 2018 at 11:00am |

Have a think about employers liability as well if you're subbing in services.
