Van damme had a whole bunch of cables badly made in the mid 2000's, all of them did the pig's tail thing, we had a few grands worh of cable replaced by them. Mostly the violet 5 way BNC tripes

That's about the right vintage for this one. There is another somewhere (which I think is 16/8) which I don't think is quite as kinked. both 20m IIRC.

it’s not just van damme cable that will do this pig tails twist.
How it happens is started in the building process. When the cable Is cut to length and terminated, the correct procedure is to terminate one end. Hang the cable for half a day or so to let it unwind it’s self in the external sheaf, then terminate the second end. If you just bang both ends on at the same time, it will unwind it’s self inside the sheaf. Causing it to pigtail.

Our RGBHV looms were not terminated in boxes, single termination to BNC, no amount of hanging would have saved it after it was made, the outer sheath was moulded round the inner cores.
