Scoops are just for the genres you mentioned. Overall problem in your solution is that they should use separate kick section between mt and them. But anyway you need to rethink mt. 1"hf doesnt fit there.

HF driver technology has really moved in the last few years, something like the BMS 4550 1" would work very well in an MT102 type cab.

Thanks for the reply, I saw also that I asked the question to fast my bad.
Do you have any examples?
The reason I wanted to go for horns is manly because I could put them straight up, they are usually really tall which would give my system some good volume/height.

Hog scoops no higher than 115 and that's from Stapier, so 200 is well out of the equation, are you going for horns for any particular reason? there are some truly devastating reflex rigs out there that would do what you want.

what and about hogs?
I'm not sure about scoops because of all the critique on the internet about the phase isue
what advantage would they have over the 1850 or hogs?

I would like to use them for dub/regae and old school dubstep stuff. But I don't want to be that genre specific if somebody wants to ex. play some funk the smeared out baseline coming from the scoop should not be stopping them. But I don't know how much it really matters in the end?

I would like to read more about it, but i'm not sure what you mean with MT to be honest.
Let me know:)

You can cut costs on voice coils for your powers. There are usually recommendations to designs. With 350W you may not even see that the speaker moves.
Dub - dub: scoops
Or dubstep craziness?
Read more about MT.

For tweeters I now use the RCF N350.
hmm thats to bad, what makes you say that they don't fit?
I'm not really sure what i need to be looking at. there are so many specs listed for a speaker.

and what kind of plans would you suggest for dub?

What do you think about the driver I listed to go with the 1850?
What are the tweeters?
If its for dub 1850 doesnt fit.
Mentioned Beyma doesnt fit to 1850 horn.

hmm, yeah maybe I would need a better amp for that in the future.
I got a lot of free wood to use, so i figured why not. My current speaker are really a "tekno rave" system.
I'm looking to build a more reggae/dub oriented system.
My noob idea of how to achieve this was replacing my w-bins for scoops. but than i read that scoops are not the best because of the phase problems they have.
So thats why I thought about building the 1850's.

My current tweeter specs list that they go from 1.5 to 20khz so I think that would be okay:)
What do you think about the driver I listed to go with the 1850?

Im open for any suggestion on which cabins to build for my lows if you have any!
