Last one would be the cheapest and by the looks of things tone controls. Just will need a separate Mic preamp stage to be added
If it sounds like a gorilla is trying to escape, turn it down.

And because of the low power handling of the drivers maybe a 2x10w 12v diy amp board (so it can be run off batteries too) and just run a pair of drivers of each of the channels. That should be a simple solution providing you know a smidge about basic electronics.

I came across this old cube type Philips radio/tape player in my garage. It has 4 speakers inside and architecture that might suit a voice practice amplifier that I could use with my acoustic guitar. I sing a bit low and play with a pick so the guitar is quite loud drowning out my voice a bit unless I put a lot of effort in to raise the voice. I stripped everything out that is no longer needed and I am now left with the speaker installation. That is 2No at 4w x 8Ώ's and 2No at 2w x 8Ώ'.  It has 240V mains and battery power to the innards amounts to 12volts.

Would a mini car amp (less than €$50) activate the thing and could I rig a mic to such an amp arrangement?
