It's ok to ask questions and even repeat them. Giving advice on a matter is different, especially if it is dangerous to user or to equipment.
Everyone is perfectly ok to do what they want in their own threads but giving unrelated info or misinformation on other threads is not ok. |

It's not just safety. Derailing others threads with nonsense and comments that take it off topic over and over isn't acceptable. I know when i posted just before christmasi i was really cross when he did so to my thread when i really needed help and it just turned in to dealing with his bs.
Ignore is fine as long as someone babysits him to make sure he's not screwing up the help that people who *will listen* unlike him. I dont actually know what he's here for. It's not help, as he doesn't listen. If this is just a babysitting service for the weak of thinking that's fine, but someone need to do the babysitting. (Not aimed at you Ian)

i agree pasi, but as said, that is not something unique to efinque. He exaggerated for sure, but that makes it fairly easy to identify his posts as nonsense, opposed to long time members giving false advice where nobody chimes in because it needs more balls to get in an argument with a regular member, its far more easy to pick "the new one". I would appreicate to have staight facts only, but i hate the concept of making an example of sombody, thats my point.

Corell, that is very true. However, anyone who is wrong should caught on that and set right with facts. I got no problem admitting if i was wrong but i need to see reliable facts to correct that, and i'm pretty sure everyone else feels the same.
I mean, how else we would learn? By sticking to what we think is right and people who know the truth won't bother telling it? I do admit that there has been several times when i've typed in full reply and then decided not to post it as i felt it won't be worth posting it and getting drawn into it. And maybe that's been wrong... |

And neither is Efinique . So why are people happy to let this carry on yet give me a load of shit for being a bigot?
In 5 years all this "fake and dangerous" advice will not be distinguishable from accurate and true information. We know it's wrong don't we? But we can all have a good laugh at it because we know it's obviously false but we're so smart we know better and that makes us feel good. And so speaker plans turns into facebook with an endless stream of crap, shit posting and people who have no clue what they are doing or talking about. If that's what you want from a specialist community then cool. But I'd rather protect the vast wealth of information by at least trying to keep the obvious shit posting trolls away So yeah I'm a bigot

its the other way around with me. I see something not true and get sort of emotionally involved, i quickly post something, get quotet/answered and instantly regret posting it because i now have to get into an argument while i just wanted to correct something.
remember when i said that clipping an amplifier does NOT increase output power on Speaker freakers last week (which caused a firestorm)? Everyone of you physically elaboreted guys knows that i was right but i fastly understood why nobody was willing to join my "discussion"... Anyways, banning is bullshit to me. Banned people feel discriminated (and in some cases are sort of right even) and return back even more deconstructive. Live with it, point out when there is false info published or delete it and eventually he will get bored. Edited by corell - 10 January 2019 at 9:40am |

Freddy, Because all regulars know what you are, and what you are doing now. Nobody is happy for Efinque to post his shit around, that's the whole point on this. He can do what he wants in HIS thread with his dance stack, but he is being picked up because of that crap he posts across the forum. You really need to get your head checked too. Sure they do. So it's obvious . But in 6 months new member Jonny FreeParty RigLad will see Mr idiots advice and think "wow that makes sense let's do that"
The poll options were obviously tongue in cheek. I don't have the power to ban nor do I want it. But if you shit posting everywhere else you get pulled up and banned for it, at the very least on a temp basis. Why is that different here, when we actually have good info to defend?

The proof would be in the pudding really - let's see if I get banned for doing exactly the same thing as Mr efinques he knows everything
