The infra hits 30hz no problem, the -3db point is 24hz I think.

Dark day for the world when you can't believe what you read on a manufacturer's website, and Lord Golden Ear's site at that! /sarcasm. |

Thanks all for your input. Think I'll take 3 of my 4 out and play them in anger and see what transpires Music played through it will more than likely be soca, dancehall, trap, and whatever else the kids are listening to nowadays. Anyone heard an infrabass before? Or a stack of 3 f218's? http://hornplans.free.fr/f1infrabass.html https://www.funktion-one.com/products/f218-mk2/ https://www.funktion-one.com/products/infrabass-218/

the above simulation is made from this exact plan. One could say, it is not an infra at all, but that is up to your own interpretation...
I have heard piles of F218 multiple times. Indoors (thinking Berghain) it is absolutely fine for techno, house etc. Outdoors, and with very "demanding" music such as trap, it is not enough "sub", no matter how much you stack (eg. Fusion festival with 32 bins per stage). But as said, you would need one 2x21" BR per f218 if you would want to cover the octave from 25-50 with authority. 21NTLW5000 or 21DS115 would be nice... |

I've heard infra bass many times now, but none of that comes from any FK1 box... |

If you have enough F218 you can do sub, you just need enough of them, eq the upper response and use a Linkwitz type transform at the low cutoff to extend as low as your headroom allows, even using a 6dB per octave boost will give a f6 into the 20’s, unlike a reflex box they can be boosted below their f3.
