Wish I'd seen that I bought two at £8.89 - (their price has now gone up http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VJK-FATMAX-AUTO-WIRE-STRIPPER-CUTTER-STRIPPING-PLIERS-Groove-Joint-claw-Tools/283433779641?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 ) Still I could have paid up to £33 for it Edited by BJtheDJ - 24 April 2019 at 10:26pm |

It's a difficult choice, would you rather have:

I bought a cheapie off the Bay, looks the same as the CK/Stanley, but only £6.75 inc post. Seems to work very well.

Mine do shielded cable fine. Have even used them to make of multipin ends. Look the same but made by CK. Have had them a couple years now.

Yes, just tried on twin screened cable. Best to remove the aluminium screen manually l on XLR cable. Not sure how I lived without it all these years

I think when they say "set" they mean more like "pair", as in a pair of pliers, but only meaning one actual item. Certainly in my comment that's what I meant.

3 sets of the same tool I guess. I got mine from Screwfix although B&Q are supposed to sell it too. A must have tool. The one I got strips 0.2 to 6mm cables. Another advantage is you can strip several wires of the same length at the same time.

People are talking about sets, are there different sizes? A quick google has thrown up screwfix, Amazon, B&Q and others as suppliers. Where have others got theirs from? Think I could do with one/several of these!!!
