I was just wondering if anyone had tested one yet?

Hmm, interesting.
Looks like the prototype I was shown a few weeks back. (really beefy design )
I liked it !
They took me to a private room located inside their booth and showed me a prototype that looked exactly like the one in the catalogue at page 68.

I think that might not yet be available to buy, but best to ask your local dealer about that .
I am a distributor for Celestion in Romania.

The UK Celestion rep said they will be available to buy "very soon", im not sure exactly when that is though, i was just wondering if anyone had got there hands on a sample, i will get one as soon as i can.

Spec wise they look pretty similar to the B&C 18SW115 and the 18 Sound 18NLW9601, but with a longer coil winding / more overhang, its a 4.5" coil like the 18SW115, the 18NLW9601 has a 5.3" coil, but only 32mm winding depth, the Celestion has 38mm depth and also a 12mm top plate like the 18NLW9601, so should handle high excursion levels better, looks interesting to me :)

Well, I did have my hands on it :)

My impression was the same. A speaker developed to compete with the best offerings on he market now. I like the fact that they listen and develop new models according to the demands of the customers. I made some recommendations so I think there will be more interesting NEO drivers available soon ;)
