Thats some thick paper then :D

But lets get some facts on the table. Enclosure type? How much power? What type of material?
Many things can destroy a cone like that.

Just out of intrest how do you rate the LW2500 over the LW2400 ? Different beast or is it just a slightly improved version of the lw2400 ?

Ive got a pile of Cubo 18's with the LW2400's in, have been very impressed with bang for buck and size

Its way more expencive then the 2400 for a start. It has much stiffer suspension and much stronger cone. Not sure how people have rip the cone up, but it is lot stronger then on the 2400. Almost 9601 strong.

I've just ordered 4 LW2500 with the same thoughts after looking at the specs marjam! Seems like a good price for a driver similar to the 18sw115 or 9601

Guys, 18Sound had some problem with old LW2500 lots, and that was, heavy driver with weak cone paper. I've been one of the first watcher of the LW2500 destroying on easy loads where whatever other speaker would have been survived.

So, i don't know if they solved the problems by the time, just write them an email and specify the lot number and tell dem about the problem. Guess they can give you some suppor..

Edit:

It was happening 3 years ago or some.. Watch out of the Qms, is 22!! You better watch out, of the tuning of the system, if Qms is that high you expect to destroy the speaker before the time.
